(WALA) – The Mobile Police Department is investigating two unrelated stabbings that they said stemmed from domestic violence incidents. On Saturday, officers responded to University Hospital around 2:21 a.m. in reference to an assault complaint and discovered that the victim reportedly had been stabbed by the suspect during a domestic altercation at a home in the 500 block of Kent Street. Catriva Watson, 43, of Mobile, was arrested in connection with the incident, police said. The victim was treated for a non-life-threatening injury, according to authorities. Watson was booked into Mobile County Metro Jail on a charge of second-degree domestic violence. She was release Sunday morning, jail records show. She has a court hearing scheduled Jan. 17. In a separate case, an argument allegedly led to one man stabbing another, according to the Mobile Police Department. Officers responded to Springhill Medical Center around 12:24 a.m. Tuesday about an assault complaint. According to police, the victim’s boyfriend stabbed him during an argument at a residence on the 1600 block of Polk Street. The suspect fled before the officers arrived on the scene, authorities said. The victim was treated for a non-life-threatening injury, police said. The incident remains under investigation.
